Brand Identity

The wordmark and the original record came with the event, drawn from the historical Congressional Record. Workhorse kept the wordmark and cut a modernized record: a twelve-inch pressing whose label carries the engraved Capitol and the evening it announces. One object in gold, silver, platinum, and black. The record is the identity, and the job was to make it hold.

Logo & Marks

The record label doubles as a dated seal. Same circular field, same engraved Capitol, a new date in the center for each edition. Workhorse built the seal system and the companion lockups that carry the mark onto letterhead, credentials, and editorial.

Typography Systems

A masthead script for the wordmark. Cheltenham Condensed for display, Franklin Gothic for body, Prestige Elite for accents. A newspaper-register system that earns the name Record.

Brand Guidelines

Brand book lives on the live site at /brand. The same theme.json that styles the homepage renders the guidelines page. Versioned in git. Updates ship with the site.
